22% of our children in McHENRY COUNTY see hunger as a fact of life.
1 in 8 PEOPLE in our neighborhoods receive food aid from a local food pantry.
That’s 40,000 people in McHENRY COUNTY receiving food aid from a local pantry. The amount of people who have received food aid in McHENRY COUNTY has increased 168% since 2006. The problem is real, it’s here in McHENRY COUNTY.
